What to pack? The argument of the night is what to pack and stay under 40 lbs. Joy gives me the shampoo I'm six pounds over already. Carry our sandals? Great later on it will be carry our sneakers. And how many converters do we need? We bought a "All in one" converter a couple of years ago and guess what they didn't have a China or Africa. Hey but we do have one for Australia! Not going there this time. Okay I can buy mouthwash in Tonga did that last time. Need the heavy jacket for one day in Paris, what a waste lugging it around the world for one days use. Okay we are learning. Three pair of shorts and seven underwear two bathing suits each. I have six shirts Joy carries 8. Probaly to many underwear but I hate rewearing them. One deoderant each never the less one of us runs out at some point and then we share (I hope I don't run out her deodorant smells like a girl). We remembered the laundry bag this year last year we would have to carry our loose clothes to the laundry dropping them along the way. Bounce sheets! We never have seen them over seas and it gets the stiffness out. In Burma our clothes might even get hand washed and line dried!
As the night rolls in our bags are weighing in at 43 lbs Joy and 46 lbs Keith. So we are safe until Vietnam then we have to carry some things carry on. Maybe wear my Brookledge jacket? Carry our sneaks into Burma? We will have a layover in China my sneakers have always wanted to see home again anyway. Anyway, we are thinking of maybe a "Sandal tan tuesday" have to see if that gets off the ground. We have also tossed around I'm right on odd days and Joy on even?? (don't tell her it's a leap year).
My goals this go around are to try local foods more. We have an interpretor in Burma the whole time so I bet that will be my tasting grounds. I'm 30 lbs lighter then last year but I am sure the Budda comments will be flying but hey he's a pretty cool guy I should be happy for those comments. So with hours to go Joy and I say good bye to our friends as we set off to make some new ones and see places that are less traveled. It was our trip two years ago that we traveled to Hell Fire Pass and learned about Burma. Look it up or better yet visit it as it's a very moving place. Along the way maybe we will get an ideal for 2014. So we bid you farewell for now and hope to be in Tonga for our next update. Between now and then we have six flights including a A380 (Our first) and in Tonga a DC-3 which I am looking forward too big time. Adios Keith and Joy P.s. I will be without spell check and computer time expensive so bear with me as I mutilate the english laugage in the coming weeks.
